Description :	Statuette en plâtre ; vitrine en bois doré et verre. Couronne rapportée en métal doré et vêtement en coton avec broderies fils métalliques dorés.

Historique :	Au 17e siècle, l'empereur Ferdinand II fonde à Prague un couvent de Carmes déchaussés. En 1628, la princesse Polixène de Lobkowitz fait don d'une statuette en cire d'origine espagnole pour ledit couvent : ce sera l'origine de la dévotion. L'abbé Brémond réalise une étude sur la dévotion à l'Enfant Jésus en France au 17e siècle. Emile Mâle s'appuie sur ce travail fondateur pour décrire le succès de l'Enfant Jésus dans l'art de la Contre-Réforme.
