Historique :	Cette église reçut très tôt des chapelles latérales : la première fut fondée par Guillaume Gaspard, clerc, en 1379, comme en témoigne l'inscription conservée. Deux messes par semaine devaient être célébrées. Inscription découverte par l'abbé Demont curé de Monthieux de 1833 à 1875 qui la dégagea de la couche de badigeon qui la recouvrait (source C. Claudin).
